ENMAX is strongly focused on providing customers choice in their retail products & services.  We are in a strong growth phase for our deregulated energy business; we are implementing decentralized energy at both the larger and smaller scale with our Shepard Energy Center, District Energy and GenerateChoice programs.  We also have a number of pilot projects underway including electric vehicles for fleet and consumers, micro CHP and energy management.

How did your career end up focusing on the utility consultation?

I started as a management consultant right out of college and later moved to one of my clients.  I have spent the majority of my career working in deregulation, establishing new utility companies resulting from deregulation and developing strategies for success in this environment.  This has been an exciting opportunity.

Why are you passionate about decentralized energy?

I believe decentralized energy will be a big part of the utility model moving forward.

What excites you most about the next 10 years for decentralized energy?

The opportunity for customers in choice of supply, products and services and the ability to engage more proactively in their energy solutions. Also, more renewable & cleaner energy supply options.

How does ENMAX Corporation’s membership with WADE Canada translate to value for ENMAX?
